Bollywood is changing, more content based movies are doing numbers at the box office. While top actors are having hard time entertain audiences, new generation stars are dominating the box office and audience with good scripts and small budget films. While the year 2019 seen some great movies like Gully Boy and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, some movies seem to disappoint fans as well.
Here is the list of 5 bad films of 2019.
5. Kalank.
Kalank was Karan Johar’s big project bringing a big stars like Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan on screen together. While the music of the song was appreciated and Kunal Khemu earned much praises for his performance, the film tanked at the box office.
4. Saaho.
If an actor gives one blockbuster record breaking films, doesn’t mean he can make any film a big hit and Saaho is the perfect example of it. While Prabha’s Bahubali broke many records and was appreciated by critics as well, Saaho seems to have nothing to be appreciated but feel sad for the people investing so much money on a film with not much to tell.
3. Student of The Year 2.
Student Of The Year is probably one of the most hated film franchise of Bollywood. From controversies about nepotism and actresses short skirt worn in the film to trolling the filmmaker for unreal college life, the film made much buzz. Tiger Shroff doing stunts and leading ladies – Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria just adding glamour to the film failed to impress critics and audieces. However the film did made profit at the box office.
2. Drive.
Don’t worry if you didn’t hear about this movie much or seen it in theaters because Drive, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez, was released on Netflix. Produced by Karan Johar, the film seemed to have nothing to impress from music to story to acting.
1. Dabangg.
It was fun seeing Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 1, then they pushed it and tried to cash it on the popularity of the character with Dabangg 2 but it was still watchable at lease once. Dabangg 3 is unbearable with same repetition from first. Directed by Prabhudeva and written by Salman Khan, the film has nothing to impress to a non-salman fan. Watching 54-year-old Salman romancing with 20-year-old Saiee Manjrekar is cringy and camera focussing on Sonakshi and Saiee’s bosom too much doesn’t look good either.
